UCD Regional and Urban Planning is a research-intensive unit that undertakes cutting-edge research that pushes forward our understanding of planning theory and practice. It is path-breaking in formulating innovative planning and smart city solutions to many of the most pressing global challenges, climate change, housing crises, city development, sustainable development, protecting the natural environment and biodiversity, democratic governance, quality of life and liveability.
Our staff are leading experts in their fields and are publishing in leading academic journals and have produced books, textbooks and edited collections on their work.
